–Lipan raiding party on the Nueces River; recovery led by Capt Levi English.  Rover book relates a similar incident with parallel names and events, including old Lorenzo as a hero.  No other account puts him in this incident, although all accounts name specific individuals who were involved.

Carrizo Springs founded in 1865 by a group of fifteen families from Atascosa County led by Levi English.  His own ranch is said to have been located on the Pendencia Creek.
